Hematology
Oncology

The Jones Clinic is a community based private practice with three board certified hematology/oncology physicians. The facility has over 10,000 square feet of space providing ample room for 22 infusion chairs and 2 beds. There is an inhouse CLIA certified high complexity lab, Xray facilities, and a closed retail pharmacy.

Pharmacy

The Jones Clinic maintains a state-chartered, closed pharmacy under the supervision of a full-time registered pharmacist. This on-site capability facilitates treatment as well as providing a consistent resource for pharmacology needs for both standard and research treatment protocols. Our Registered Pharmacist, Ms. Ashley McClure reviews protocols, participates in site initiation and closure visits, and stores, inventories, mixes and dispenses all study drugs. In addition, Ms. McClure has completed a residency in pharmacy administration and a course in compounding. Our pharmacy utilizes a computerized system to check drug interactions and to provide an additional check against dispensing errors, as well as tracking and maintaining inventory of standard and research treatment agents. The pharmacist prepares on site all intravenous and parenteral. The pharmacy also dispenses oral chemotherapy agents as well as other commonly ordered medications.

Laboratory

The Jones Clinic has a certified high complexity laboratory staffed by a certified medical technologist, a laboratory technician, a medical assistant and a phlebotomist. Our laboratory director, Ms. Diana Pruitt joined us after directing the University of Tennessee Cancer Center hematology laboratory. Included in our laboratory resources is a CellDyn 1700 for CBCs, a Vitros 250 for chemistries, and a Coaguchek for prothrombin times. Bone marrow aspirations and biopsies are performed on site.
