Founded in 1993, the Missouri Valley Cancer Consortium (MVCC) is a non-profit organization based in Omaha, Nebraska that receives federal funding designed to bring state-of-the-art cancer clinical trials to Omaha and Lincoln metropolitan and surrounding areas.

Over the years, the CCOP network, which was created in 1983, has expanded beyond cancer prevention trials to include cancer treatment, symptom management, and quality-of-life clinical trials. MVCC received the Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP) designation from the NCI in 1993. As a member of the CCOP network, MVCC is part of a collaborative team of physicians, hospitals, and local clinics designed to give patients more options to treat their cancer, in the comfort of their family and local community.

The Missouri Valley Cancer Consortium aims to provide patients with the highest quality cancer treatment, symptom management and prevention opportunities available today. Since its inception, MVCC participation in the network of community physicians and hospitals has continued to expand to meet the needs of physician partners and patients. Through the successful collaboration of the research team and support of local physicians and hospitals, the MVCC has been able to provide a large variety of clinical trial options for cancer patients.
