    Nephrology/Urology
    Oncology

Each TUCC clinical department provides patients with state of the art diagnostic and treatment therapies. Several have been awarded national accreditation designations indicating the quality of care delivered at the center.

TUCC is the only urology practice in Colorado to receive an ultrasound accreditation from the American College of Radiology and one of only two practices to receive an accreditation in computed tomography (CT). The TUCC laboratory was awarded a two-year accreditation from COLA in 2008, signifying our commitment to rigid standards of quality and accuracy in day-to-day operations. Also in 2008, the Urology Surgery Center of Colorado (USCC) received a three-year accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC). USCC is the only urologic focused ambulatory surgery center in Colorado to be accredited by AAAHC.

TUCC utilizes on-site intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image guided radiation therapy (IGRT), 3-D conformal planning and prostate brachytherapy seed implantation treatment methods for patients diagnosed with urologic cancers. TUCC is one of the few urology practices in the country to have a physician who is board certified in urology and radiation oncology on staff.

TUCC physicians are highly skilled in performing da Vinci robotic surgical procedures to treat urologic conditions and cancers, having performed hundreds over the past 10 years. By utilizing robotic technology, a surgeon's hand movements are motion scaled and any hand tremor is filtered resulting in perfectly translated, precise movements of the instruments.

The nationally recognized TUCC Clinical Research Department provides patients with access to tomorrow's urologic therapies today. In 2008, the department was awarded acceptance into the Society of Urologic Oncology Clinical Trials Consortium. TUCC is one of only 11 large urology groups in the country with this designation.
