Colorado Cancer Research Program (CCRP) was established in 1983 and designated by NCI as a Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP). CCRP incorporated and became a stand-alone nonprofit organization in 1989. Its founding was the vision of local oncologists who wanted to ensure that Colorado residents could benefit from cancer clinical research and receive treatment from their local oncologists. CCRP is committed to advancing clinical trials in the quest for better cancer treatment, management and prevention by providing access to life-saving and life-improving cancer treatments before they've been approved as standard of care. CCRP has a vision of a world in which cancer is cured or even prevented. After initially partnering with six metro-Denver hospitals, CCRP today has 18 partner hospitals located throughout Colorado, and over 100 affiliated oncologists and related specialty physicians.
