Latin America is the world's fourth largest clinical trials market. In Colombia clinical research has grown significantly over the past 10 years. Colombia's major advantages are large treatment-naïve populations, centralized health care delivery and strong patient-physician relationships, which all lead to the high success of subject enrollment and retention, and reduced costs for clinical research. Recently implementation of ICH-GCP guidelines in clinical research has establish a harmonized regulatory system compatible with the one applied in the USA and Europe. The use of a common language also reduces language barriers in conducting multinational clinical trials, particularly compared to other newly expanding regions.
Oncology
OncoResearch is currently operating in five Clinical Research sites that are conveniently located in Colombia, we offer almost all types of in- and outpatient cancer diagnosis and treatment, including an infusion room with reclining chairs, digital mammography, PET scanning, high-dose radiation, IMRT and brachytherapy, and autologous bone marrow transplantation, onsite lab that can perform blood tests STAT.
At each of the facilities OncoResearch provides study services such as: initial study feasibility, accelerated study startup, centralized management functions, rigorous internal quality control and motivated, experienced and dedicated Investigators and study Coordinators.
