Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital has a long and rich history in cancer care, beginning with Bud Green, MD, who is widely regarded as the first hematologist/oncologist in the Twin Cities. We became one of the first in Minnesota to offer coordinated cancer care services in 1964, when John Brown joined our team as an oncologist. In the 1970s, we added a cancer committee, tumor registry, tumor board and began radiation therapy. In the 1980s, we started a cancer care inpatient unit in the hospital. We also added many new support and education offerings. In the 1990s, our cancer center started to take shape with new dedicated space and a resource center.
In 2009, we opened a brand new facility
