Bluegrass Orthopaedics & Hand Care provides comprehensive orthopaedic care for people suffering from musculoskeletal disorder and treats the hand, wrist, shoulder, spine, hip knee ankle, and foot. The patient experience at Bluegrass Orthopaedics & Hand Care is enhanced with on-site diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. All of the physicians, physican assistants, and nurses are professionally trained and licensed.
Since 1994, Bluegrass Orthopaedics & Hand Care Research, LLC has been a subsidary of Bluegrass Orthopaedics & Hand Care. The research division allows the physicians and patients to participate in trials offering cutting edge technology and the most advanced drug therapies to enhance patient care. Clinical trial patients are monitored closely for extended periods of time to ensure high quality care and positive outcomes. All study-related testing, treatment, and monitoring are provided at no extra cost to the patients.
The research division works with some of the nations most noted and advanced health care companies to study various pain management alternatives for both acute and chronic orthopaedic conditions. In addition, new drug and device trials are available in our clinical facility as well as in the surgical setting for a number of indications such as total joint replacements and spinal surgeries.

Bluegrass Orthopaedics & Hand Care Research, LLC has two dedicated clinical research coordinators' Elaine S. Wilhite, MS' Director' over 20 yrs clinical trials experience in the areas of oncology and orthopaedics; Lisa Meeker, BA' 5 yrs orthopaedic research experience.
We have over 15,000 patients in our database. We do receive referrals however, the majority of our research patients come directly from our practice population.
Musculoskeletal
The practice consists of 22 patient exam rooms, 2 x-ray areas, MRI suite, physical therapy department, and an outpatient surgical center. In addition, there is a dedicated research area complete with phlebotomy services, refrigeration, and sub-zero freezer for study sample storage. We are proud to be an all-inclusive center for total orthopaedic care!
