Clinical Drug Trials & Research Facilities in California
The state of California is home to many clinical trials. California Clinical Trials
California Clinical Trials conducts polysymnography sleep studies and clinical trials on the following fields of medicine: cardiology/vascular diseases, dermatology/plastic surgery, endocrinology, immunology/infectious diseases, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics/neonatology, pharmacology/toxicology, psychiatry/psychology, pulmonary/respiratory diseases, central nervous system (CNS), cardiovascular, endocrinology, rheumatology. Specific trials being conducted are on the following phenomena and disorders: cardiac QTc, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, bipolar depression mania, drug development, major depression, generalized anxiety, adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), general memory loss, migraines, ethnic studies, therapies and baby care. Trial sites are located at the Glendale Adventist Medical Center and the Psychiatric Institute in Glendale and at the Brotman Hospital in Culver City. California Clinical Trials performs both inpatient and outpatient study programs.
CNS
CNS conducts clinical studies on the following: Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, depression, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, diabetic neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, migraines, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), insomnia and shingles. The Los Angeles Research Center in Garden Grove, Orange County Research Center in Torrance, Hospital Research Center in Long Beach and Northern California Research Center in Oakland are facility locations for CNS clinical trials.
Northern California Research
Northern California Research (NoCaRe) conducts studies on osteoarthritis of the knee, women’s low sex drive, hot flashes, chronic constipation, chronic lower back pain and athlete’s foot. Studies are performed at the North Study Center in Sacramento. NoCaRe services patients in Northern California and Nevada.
CiTrials
CiTrials is currently conducting psychiatric clinical trials on the following: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar (manic and depressive), major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, Alzheimer’s disease and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The University of California, San Francisco
The University of California, San Francisco is conducting studies on NIDA national drug abuse treatment. The drug abuse treatment trials are being run at San Francisco General Hospital in San Francisco.

Studies are also done on non-cancers. Clinical trials are performed at Norris Cancer Hospital in Los Angeles.
