St. Luke's Cardiology Associates A is a private cardiology practice with two cardiologists (all F.A.C.C.) and a Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner committed to the highest level of excellence both in medical care and patient services. Since 1976, the physicians and staff have been meeting the needs of patients throughout North Florida and South Georgia, with a diversified patient population of over 10,000. We are currently affiliated with three area hospitals, in both university and community settings.

We have completed over 70 clinical drug trials since 1999. Our research philosophy is based on a commitment to our patients to provide them with comprehensive quality care, the latest treatment alternatives, and assist with their financial burden for health care.

In the last ten years we have been involved in Phase II, III and IV pharmaceutical trials. We have always used a Central IRB, and have a good reputation in the Research community for producing clean data. Our studies have been in the following therapeutic areas:

We have six full-time Research staff with extensive medical and clinical research experience. All employees have had training in HIPAA privacy policies and compliance, and everyone is IATA certified. Three out of four coordinators have obtained CRC certification and the fourth is working toward certification. Staff includes a full time Regulatory Affairs Coordinator and a Research Assistant, both with 18 years experience in Health Care.


The population in Jacksonville exceeds 1,000,000. The age distribution is approximately 30% under age 18, 60% between 18-64, and 10% 65 and older. Our practice patient population is diversified with over 12,000 patients.
