Stretching back to our roots nearly 100 years ago, Wayne HealthCare has always been a trusted friend in the community—caring for generations of Darke County residents during every stage of life. Although many things have changed over the past century, one constant has been our ceaseless endeavors to help all of our patients discover a healthier way of life.

As we carry on the tradition of exceptional healthcare in the region, our newly improved and expanded facility is the latest incarnation of our desire to deliver the best possible care to the community, now and in the years to come. As we look back upon the decades of faces and events that have shaped our present organization, it’s easy to imagine how the actions we are taking today are sure to impact the generations still to come. Our hope is that when they reflect upon the changes and advances we are making today, that they will feel the same sense of pride and obligation to continue our mission to improve the lives of the patients we serve.

We strive to deliver the best possible healthcare experience to our patients, and since we know that patient satisfaction starts with individualized care and attention, we maintain one of the best nurse-to-patient ratios in the region - with five patients to every nurse. We are also proud to be in the top ten percent of hospitals in the State of Ohio's Core Measures, achieved with a commitment to continued best practice expansion through evidence-based medicine. Additionally, we are a top performer in the Press Ganey “Survey on Patient Satisfaction.”
