Dixie Regional has particularly been praised for excellent heart care. The hospital was one of only a handful of hospitals in the nation to earn the American Heart Association's Gold-Plus status for heart care in 2013, and was also named to their Target: Stroke Honor Role. Dixie Regional also named to the list of "100 Hospitals with Great Heart Programs" by Becker's Hospital Review and was named among the 2013 Top 50 Heart Hospitals in the nation by Truven Analytics.

Pediatric care at Dixie Regional is excellent, and we have close ties to Intermountain's Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, which last year was ranked as one of the nation's best children's hospitals in several specialties by U.S. News & World Report, by Parents magazine, and by the National Association of Children's Hospitals. We're now offering telehealth consulting services with Primary Children's so that patients can be seen by specialists remotely instead of having to make the long trip to Salt Lake.

In 2013 Dixie Regional added neurosurgery to our list of services provided. Complex brain and spine procedures have had excellent outcomes so far. Starting in the summer of 2014 we will be offering 24/7 neuro-trauma services, allowing us to earn designation as a Level II Trauma Center. That means all but the most complex and severe trauma cases will be able to receive treatment at Dixie Regional.

Dixie Regional's Acute Rehabilitation Unit was ranked in the top 10 percent in the nation by Uniform Data Systems for the third year in a row in 2013. We have one of the lowest c-section rates in the country and our Newborn Intensive Care Unit is nationally ranked for low infection rates and short lengths-of-stay.
