Our Cancer Program has been approved by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons since 1999. The COC accreditation is recognized by other national healthcare organizations as establishing performance measures for high-quality cancer care. In 2012, the Commission on Cancer granted a three-year approval with commendations to our program, indicating that Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) demonstrates compliance with all mandatory standards for organizational and operational elements. We are also a proud recipient of the Commission on Cancer's Outstanding Achievement Award.

Our Outpatient Oncology Unit is staffed with specially trained nurses who have completed courses in chemotherapy infusion. Along with chemotherapy, the staff also administers blood transfusions, antibiotics and other related injections.

We are affiliated with the Columbus Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP), which is a program established by the National Cancer Institute to bring the latest cancer treatment and prevention to patients at a community level.
