The Davis Clinic is a dedicated research facility supported by a team of clinicians and a dedicated research staff with over a decade of experience in the conduct of Phase II- Phase IV clinical trials in partnership with pharmaceutical sponsors. The Davis Clinic was originally founded by Larry Davis, MD a psychiatrist/sex therapist. Upon his passing in 2006, his son J. Aaron Davis, ND has taken leadership of the Davis Clinic. The Davis Clinic has a team of physician investigators of varied experience to fuse medical expertise with clinical trials experience. Patients are drawn from the greater Indianapolis area which consists of a large metropolitan population of about 2.2 million people, as well as outlying areas. The Davis Clinic treats various psychiatric and sexual disorders in child/adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. Diagnostic and clinical areas include: schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, personality disorders, generalized anxiety disorders, also obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, male and female sexual dysfunction, medication management, sleep disorders, chemical dependency and other addictions.

The Davis Clinic has a strong track record in recruiting efforts to draw subjects for clinical trials, focusing efforts in radio and print advertisement, as well as drawing from a historical database. The team has effectively designed ad campaigns after IRB approval and sponsor agreement.

The Davis Clinic is located on the north side of Indianapolis, Indiana immediately south of the main interstate (I-465) that circles the city, allowing for great accessibility. The clinic is on a bus line. Its practice setting resides within the Lakeview Medical building (a large multi-discipline physician complex).

Space includes:

  • A large waiting room with patient reading materials, music and beverages
  • Conference room, multipurpose space, also available for patient and staff education
  • Reception and clinic manager area
  • Individual offices for the clinical research coordinators and principal investigator
  • Dedicated double-locked study drug storage area with lockable cabinets (all drug storage is temperature monitored)
  • Locked study document storage
  • Long term secure record storage
  • Large multi-purpose space, which includes two office stations as well as meeting space
  • An in-house laboratory meeting all clinical research specifications as certified by issuance of a CLIA waiver. Able to process all laboratory specimens for packaging and shipping to sponsor contracted laboratories. The Clinic has a standing contract with a local laboratory as needed.
  • Examination room equipped with
    • portable EKG
    • emergency supplies for first-aid and basic life support
    • other basic physical examination items
  • Work space for study monitoring with access to copy and fax machine and computer set-up
  • State-of-the-art computer system with central server installed in 2005
